According to Acer’s Taiwan boss, Scott Lin, the company is poised to launch a 10″ version of the Acer Aspire One netbook in the first quarter of 2009.

This larger screen size will be the first significant upgrade for the Aspire One range, and apart from the increased screen size, other specifications are not expected to change much.

However, many people are probably hoping that the battery life of the this tweaked model will be improved, although this could come at the expense of it weighing more.

3G connectivity is also expected to make an appearance, opening the door to the Aspire One being used for mobile broadband services.

No doubt further updates will appear soon, so stay tuned!
